RICKY CARMICHAEL TAKES STEP-UP GOLD, RENNER TAKES SILVER

With some-13,000 in attendance inside the Staples Center, tonight Ricky Carmichael cleared the 34-foot high bar of Moto X Step-Up to take the gold. It’s his second medal of X Games 14, and his third medal in two years (two gold and a silver).

All night Ricky really seemed to be enjoying himself…. Really, having more fun than anyone who’s out to win X Games medals should be having. While the other competitors were getting ready, focusing and psyching for the event, RC was chatting it up and keeping it casual.

But when it came time for the event Ricky buttoned down and handled his business. For an hour-straight they kept raising the bar, and for an hour-straight “The Greatest of All Time” steadily KO’d his competitors.

Ricky’s DC moto teammate Ronnie Renner came in right behind him, clearing 32-feet to take the silver.
