As the originator of the MegaRamp concept (as seen in the DC Video), Danny brought the event to the X Games in 2004 and proceeded to dominate the event, winning Gold for the next three years. Sidelined last year with a knee injury, he’s back this summer with even more tricks, including no grab flip tricks over the MegaRamp’s massive gap (note the no-grab tre-flip on the cover of the August issue of TWS).

After winning a Bronze medal in Park at last year’s X Games, Dave will try his hand in SuperPark and again this year in BMX Big Air. Dave, who’s often referred to as the best BMX rider to ever put foot to pedal, will be putting his foot to a different pedal at X14: a Rally car. Following in the footsteps of Pastrana, Dave’s been trading his bike for a rally car on occasion. Will his new high-adrenaline passion mean yet another medal at X Games?

In 2006 Chad took three medals at X Games: a gold in Vert, a silver in Vert Best Trick (flatspin 540 tailwhip!), and a silver in Big Air. Unfortunately he suffered a broken collarbone at during Big Air practice at last year’s X, but he’s better and stronger than ever for the ’08. A new threat: this season, Kagy can do most all his tricks the opposite way. Look out.

With buttery smooth style and uber-clean trick execution, Chris is a favorite among fellow riders and true BMX followers. When X Games dropped Dirt Freestyle from the line up, Chris took a one-year break from X-action, but this year decided to return as one of the invited few to compete in the new SuperPark event.

A true ambassador for the sport of BMX with his Local Exposure Tour and one to always take a ballsy approach to competition, Allan took the bronze in 2006 in BMX Big Air. This year, he’ll be back on the MegaRamp’s 70-foot gap and huge quarterpipe, plus giving a go in the new SuperPark event.

Competing In: BMX Freestyle Park
A relative unknown just a couple of years ago, Daniel exploded onto the scene and surprised everyone by winning the gold in BMX Park above a slew of very talented (and very experienced) riders. With a slew of other wins since then, you can’t help but think he’s the favorite to win it all this year on the park course.

A dirt riding phenom, Corey won three straight golds in the X Games BMX Freestyle Dirt competition before the event was dropped from the line-up. He charged on outside of the X arena, remaining a rider favorite and earning Transworld’s “Number One Rider Award” (NORA Cup) every year for the last three years. With the addition of Superpark to the line-up he’s back at X, ready to extend his successes in an all-new riding genre.

The “GOAT,” or “Greatest of All Time.” The nickname says it all. After retiring from full time motocross racing action (with nearly every title under his belt, thank you), Ricky made his X Games debut last year. Simply put, he had way too much fun competing and easily taking the gold in Moto X Racing. Look for more of the same this year above the high bar of Moto X Step Up.

Nate is a contest mainstay, seemingly always on the top of the standings with the ability to KO his competitors with precision and almost robot-like consistency. Last year he secured the silver in Freestyle despite a recently broken throttle finger. This year he’s back for more in the events he’s proven himself a success—Best Trick and Freestyle—plus Speed and Style.

Coming in hot off two medals at last year’s X Games (even beating his teammate Nate Adams in the FMX finals), Adam is now recovered and fully healthy after a gnarly crash at the end of 2007. Last year he unveiled the stripper flip and the shaolin flip to take his medals… what will he bring to the table this year?

Showtime! Jeremy, since retiring from full time racing a few years ago, has become an ambassador to the sport of motocross, returning to compete in select events much to the fans’ delight. With so much experience under his belt consider MC a major threat in Moto X Racing.

Competing In: Moto X Step Up, Moto X Best Whip, Moto X Speed and Style
With the sickest whips in the game and the ability to fly awfully high on his bike, Ronnie is a top threat in Moto X Step Up and Moto X Best Whip. Will that skill set carry over to Speed and Style? Should be interesting.

Competing In: Moto X Freestyle
Hailing from Australia, Robbie “Mad Dog” Madison gained global fame earlier this year when he soared his bike goalpost-to-goalpost over a football field for a Red Bull promotion. He bagged a world record for that effort… at X 14 he’ll look to translate those long-jump skills to a coveted Moto X Freestyle medal.

Competing In: Moto X Speed and Style, Rally Car Racing
He’s double backflipped. He’s won countless FMX contests. He’s the two-time reigning Rally America National Champ. Casually moving from motorcycles to rally cars and back again, Travis is nothing short of a serious threat in every event he competes in. This year he’ll be charging in Moto X Speed and Style and back for another medal in Rally Car Racing (2006, gold; 2007, bronze).
